Gigabyte, known for its components for PCs, has been producing monitors for quite a long time, but it has not yet had such a large one.
The Gigabyte Aorus FO48U model with a 48-inch OLED matrix and 4K resolution is positioned exactly as a gaming one, but is equipped exclusively with HDMI 2.1 inputs with support for 4K120 video, VRR (variable refresh rate), ALLM (automatic low latency mode) and synchronization G-Sync and FreeSync.
However, the value of the output delay is not reported. That is, in fact, the FO48U technically copies a modern 48-inch OLED TV like the LG CX or C1 series, but lacks a tuner and Smart capabilities.
To improve the gameplay, the company’s engineers added an aiming stabilizer, a dashboard and a special black setting called an equalizer to improve the visibility of details in shadows.
Whether such a monitor will be cheaper than a 48-inch OLED TV is not yet known.
