Campfire Audio has expanded the product range with two new in-ear monitor: Satsuma and Honeydew . Their cases are 3D printed and manufactured using ABC plastic. The headphones are equipped with a stainless steel spout. In addition to the difference in color ( Satsuma has a bright orange color, Honeydew is light yellow), gadgets also differ in their “insides”.
The bigger Honeydew model features dynamic drivers with a 10-inch LCP diaphragm, while the Satsuma headphones receive a wide-range armature driver, which is complemented by a calibrated hole in the housing. Its purpose is to level the frequency response.
During the development process, the manufacturer paid great attention to the cable. Users will find a silver plated copper litz wire made from two stranded insulated conductors. The use of beryllium copper in the MMCX connectors ensures a reliable connection over the long life of the earbuds.
Satsuma and Honeydew specifications:
- Frequency response: 5 Hz – 18 kHz.
- Sound pressure: 94 dB.
- Impedance: 18 ohms (Honeydew), 46.6 ohms (Stasuma).
Satsuma earphones cost $ 200, Honeydew earphones $ 250.
