We have been waiting for this event for a long time and yet it happened. We finally saw a laptop with an OLED display. It was a new device from Lenovo – Yoga Slim 7i Pro. Customers now have the choice of an LCD or a 14-inch ultra-bright OLED display. It is interesting that the matrix refresh rate is 90 Hz.
The new device was presented at CES. Inside is an 11th Gen Intel Core processor and Intel Iris X graphics, or a choice of discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX450 graphics.
The laptop runs at 2880 x 1800 pixels. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro display has a wide color gamut of 100% DCI-P3 and 125% sRGB, and also supports HDR and Dolby Vision.
Interestingly, Lenovo claims the Intel EVO platform, but in fact, the device will undergo a full validation, which is scheduled for the second quarter of 2021. It should be noted that, judging by Lenovo’s statement, the device fits all the main parameters and they only need to be checked.
Maximum configuration of Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro:
- 11th Gen Intel Core i7 + Intel Iris X
- dGPU – NVIDIA Geforce MX450
- 16 GB of RAM
- 1 TB PCIe SSD
- Harman speakers and Dolby Atmos support
- IR camera, 2 microphones
- Wi-Fi 6
- Bluetooth 5.0
- Battery capacity – 61 W * h
- 2 USB Type-C ports (Intel Thunderbolt 4, Power Delivery 3.0, DisplayPort 1.4, USB 4.0)
- 1 x USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 1)
- 1 combo audio jack
- Dimensions – 31.24 x 22.1 x 1.78 cm

PS However, we do not expect OLED in tablets or laptops as much as we hope for microLED in iPad and Macbook.
