Samsung has officially announced that the rollout of One UI 7 will begin on April 7. The latest version of the company’s software is based on Android 15 and brings with it an updated design, new features, and improvements in performance and usability.
These devices will get the update first
The first wave of updates will include several of Samsung’s top smartphone and tablet models.
Galaxy S series:
- Galaxy S24 Ultra
- Galaxy S24+
- Galaxy S24
- Galaxy S24 FE
- Galaxy S23 Ultra
- Galaxy S23+
- Galaxy S23
- Galaxy S23 FE
Galaxy Z series:
- Galaxy Z Fold6
- Galaxy Z Flip6
- Galaxy Z Fold5
- Galaxy Z Flip5
Galaxy Tab series:
- Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra
- Galaxy Tab S10+
- Galaxy Tab S9 series (exact models not confirmed)
It’s still unclear whether the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and S9 FE+ will be included in the first round of updates, as Samsung has previously separated the standard models and FE editions.
What’s new in One UI 7?
The biggest news in One UI 7 is the increased use of artificial intelligence to improve the user experience. More AI-powered features are becoming available, but not all devices will have access to the same tools.
Typing Assist: Available for Galaxy S24 series, S24 FE, S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold6, Z Flip6, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Galaxy Tab S10 and Tab S9 series.
Drawing Assistant: Supported on the same devices as Writing Assistant.
Audio Eraser: Only available on Galaxy S24 series, S24 FE, Z Fold6, Z Flip6, and Galaxy Tab S10 series.
Language support for natural language search
Samsung is also introducing natural language search in the system settings, allowing users to ask questions like “My eyes are tired” to find relevant features. Currently, this feature is supported in English, Korean, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and Portuguese.
Although the rollout will start on April 7, Samsung emphasizes that it may take a few weeks for all eligible devices to receive the update.
